Reworking the classic MA-1 bomber silhouette, originally developed for mid-20th-century military flight use, with a eastern kimono collar and tie closure. This jacket is constructed from upcycled Kantha quilts that have been overdyed navy, allowing some of the patterns from underneath to show through. Traditionally made by layering and hand-stitching vintage textiles in South Asia, Kantha fabric embodies a culture of repair, reuse and longevity — values that closely mirror Maharishi’s own approach to design.

Each piece is entirely unique, with variations in tone, pattern and texture reflecting the life of the original materials. Blending Eastern hand-crafted tradition with Western military heritage, no two jackets are the same.
